Prepent Day 9: Life Lessons From Disneyland

Life lessons from hanging with kids in Disneyland to begin our graceful descent from summer into the fall and a new year of heights and depths and simple pleasures:

  1. Test my terrors more often by pushing myself beyond the safety of my comfort zone. Every one of those scary rides is a test of our fears, disguised as fun, obstacle course on the path to facing demons and the rollercoaster that is life’s daily ups and deadly downs.

  2. Pull myself together when the ride’s too rough but allow myself to scream and let it out.

  3. Hold on to the hands of those you love and live with, squeezing tight when needed most.

  4. Go have some silly fun, more often, no mouse ears required.
