Trump Rage Tweets Against Georgia Dem Jon Ossoff

President Trump waded into a tight House race in Georgia on Monday, tweeting an attack against the upstart Democratic candidate, Jon Ossoff.

The election to replace former Rep. Tom Price, now the Trump White House’s Secretary for Health and Human Services, will take place tomorrow, pitting Ossoff against a divided field of Republicans.

The district is historically red, but due to the president’s sagging approval ratings and the presence of multiple conservatives in the race, Ossoff could pull an upset. The liberal hopeful will have to contest a runoff if he fails to break 50 percent in tomorrow’s initial round.

Born to a Jewish family in Atlanta, Ossoff was educated at Georgetown and then the London School of Economics. He’s a former Capitol Hill staffer, and has produced a documentary about the Islamic State’s atrocities in Iraq.
