Woman Arrested For Chasing After Congressman David Kustoff In Her Car

A Tennessee woman was arrested after chasing Representative David Kustoff and an aide as they left a town hall meeting.
Wendi Wright, a 35-year-old constituent of Kustoff, followed the Republican lawmaker after a meeting at the University of Tennessee — Martin, and chased him as he drove away. When Kustoff and his aide stopped the car in a driveway, Wright got out of her car and began screaming at the congressman while hitting his car’s windows.
According to local reports, Kustoff and his aide called 911 but by the time police arrived, Wright had already left.
She was arrested later after posting on Facebook about the incident. Wright, who was released on a $1000 bond, was charged with reckless endangerment due to her conduct during the car chase.
Police gave no information regarding the motive behind Wright’s actions.
