The ever-growing constellation of lawyers surrounding President Trump and his family has grown again after the president tapped corporate lawyer Ty Cobb as his Special Counsel, according to Axios.

Cobb, who is a descendant of the namesake baseball legend, is a veteran of Hogan Lovells law firm, specializing in white collar defense.

Jay Sekulow, who has served as surrogate for the president as well as lawyer, will remain on the legal team. However, Marc Kasowitz will most likely see his role diminished, if not eliminated, in no small part due to his recent leaked emails in which Kasowitz cursed at a critic of his.

Cobb, according to those close to Trump, will act as “adult supervision” within the administration. “It hasn’t been clear who internally has been in charge,” one friend of Trump’s said. “This brings some structure and grown-up leadership on this issue.”
