WATCH: Megan Rapinoe’s Jewish Girlfriend, B’ball Star Sue Bird, Play HER Game

“Power couple” is the proper descriptor.

Meagan Rapinoe: The captain of Reign FC, the world champion women’s soccer team.

Sue Bird: Point guard for the Seattle Storm, a three-time world champion and a two-time WNBA champion. She’s got four Olympic gold medals — and her father is a Russian Jew. She was raised with both Judaism and Christianity in Syosset, Long Island.

Schmooze editor Jenny Singer has written here that Bird is the Megan Rapinoe of basketball, but maybe we also need to consider that Rapinoe is the Sue Bird of soccer.

At least, that’s the question that must be considered after watching this 2018 highlight reel, which shows Bird kicking it on the court. Click through here and wait for your jaw to drop.
