Sebastian Gorka Hired By Fox News

Sebastian Gorka, the former Trump administration counterterrorism adviser who has been repeatedly criticized for his ties to far-right Hungarian groups, has been hired by Fox News, host Sean Hannity said on his radio show Wednesday.
The news was first broken by researchers for the left-wing research group Media Matters, who reported that Gorka would be a “national security strategy contributor” on the network.
The Forward reported earlier this year that Gorka had forged ties with far right-wing, anti-Semitic forces in Hungary before immigrating to the United States.
Gorka frequently appeared on television to defend President Trump’s national security strategy. But it was never confirmed whether Gorka had been approved for a security clearance, which he would have presumably required to fully advise Trump on counterterrorism issues.
In August, Gorka left his White House post shortly after the departure of Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who frequently published Gorka on his Breitbart website. Whether Gorka left on his own volition or was fired by new Chief of Staff John Kelly was unclear.
Since his departure, Gorka has frequently appeared as a guest on Fox News programs to defend the president and his agenda. Those appearances continued to earn Gorka negative attention—in a recent appearance on Hannity’s program, Gorka compared Hillary Rodham Clinton to Soviet spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and implied that Clinton may deserve to be executed for her role in the so-called “Uranium One” affair.
The Daily Beast reported in September that Hannity was “a big fan” of Gorka and had “been actively advocating internally for Gorka to get a new deal” to replace the contributor contract he signed before joining the White House.
