David Lee Preston is a retired reporter, columnist and editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer, where he was a finalist for the 1986 Pulitzer Prize in feature writing for his Sunday magazine article “Journey To My Father’s Holocaust.” He is preparing to publish his mother’s 1943-44 sewer writings, which he discovered a decade ago.
