The Scapegoat?
American Jewry looked on with some pleasure last week as ABC’s Diane Sawyer made Mel Gibson squirm with pointed questions about the actor/director’s drunken summertime antisemitic tirade. But just a short while later, it was the Jews’ turn to squirm.
Okay, so we’ve established that Jews aren’t responsible for all the wars in the world, but did the Daily News have to lay the blame for the Mets’ October 14 defeat at the feet of rightfielder — and team Jew — Shawn Green?
