Jared Kushner, Peacemaker? Israeli Official Says Bring Him On
Could a Jewish New York real estate guy with precisely zero foreign policy experience break the Mideast peace logjam?
If his father in law is called Donald Trump, Israeli officials say: “why not?”
A top Israeli diplomat said Jared Kushner would be a welcome partner if he becomes a peace mediator.
“We welcome him,” Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said. “We would be so happy if someone could bring peace to the Middle East.
”
Hotovely was discussing Trump’s suggestion to the New York Times that the 35-year-old Kushner, the hubby of his daughter Ivanka, could achieve a goal that has eluded a string of past American presidents and diplomats.
“I think he’d be very good at it,” Trump said. “I mean he knows it so well. He knows the region, knows the people, knows the players.”
