Florida Home Vandalized With Swastika
A Nazi swastika was painted on the garage door of a Florida homeowner whose wife is Jewish.
A homeowner in Seminole County, Florida, on Tuesday morning discovered a large swastika and the word “Surprise!” spray painted in black on his garage door, local news channel WFTV reported. A swastika also was spray painted on the driveway.
The homeowner, who was unidentified in news reports, told WFTV that he is certain his home was targeted because of his wife’s religion. No other homes in the neighborhood were targeted.
Many of the other residents in the Seminole County neighborhood of Autumn Glen said they were outraged by the act of vandalism.
“I think that’s disgusting. I think we should be way past this kind of thing,” local resident Mildred Hall told WFTV. “I’m really literally shocked that’s what happened. More than surprised, I am shocked.”
Deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff’s office were sent to the home to take a report, WFTV reported.
