Dem-Supporting Celebs Snub Republicans
Lots of celebs came out last Thursday to the AmfAR Inspiration Gala to honor CAA managing partner Kevin Huvane, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Chelsea Handler, and Kate Hudson, who stunned in a low cut red Prabal Gurung gown.
And while she was at that AmfAR event, SJP was asked what she thought about the recently published work out photos of Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan. “How much does that add to the intellectual capacity? Just curious,” is how the Obama- supporting actress responded.
Since we’re on the topic of celebs who have less than nice things to say about GOP hopefuls, we’ll mention that “Saturday Night Lights” creator Peter Berg wrote a letter to Mitt Romney accusing him of ripping off the show’s “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose” phrase. Berg told the governor to stop using it and to come up with his own slogan.
And in our final item for today about Democratic celebs annoyed with Republicans, no one seems to be sure why Ann Romney chose to wear a wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg. We guess Romney didn’t get the memo that the designer is a big Obama fan.
Pals and would-be hip-hop artists “Emcee Gwyneth Paltrow” and “Deejay Jazzy Cameron Diaz” show a side of themselves we haven’t seen before in a video they made to congratulate Chelsea Handler on moving her show into a new studio. Handler reportedly sold a bunch of stuff from her old studio and gave the proceeds to an LGBT advocacy group.
Barry Manilow has been generous, too. He donated a Yamaha piano to launch a music instrument drive for the San Jose, California public schools.

Henry Winkler talks about what he’s been up to lately and why he loves Adam Sandler.
Paula Abdul has praised Nicole Scherzinger, of “Dancing With The Stars” and The Pussycat Dolls fame, for speaking out about her struggles with bulimia. Abdul has also fought eating disorders.
Bar Refaeli recently tweeted a couple of photos of herself blowing a kiss—one of her doing so while posing provocatively in a tiny bikini. Along with the photos, she tweeted that she wonders why so many women tweet photos of themselves blowing kisses.
Rapper Drake apparently has a new girlfriend.
KISS Rocker Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie Simmons failed to advance to the next round of the X-Factor, but young Carly Rose Sonnenclar continues to blow away the judges.

Mike Wazowski, the one-eyed monster voiced by Billy Crystal has always been our favorite “Monsters, Inc” character. Well, it turns out he is Crystal’s favorite character, too — not just in that movie, but of all the roles the actor has ever played..
