Hurricane Sandy Celebrity Tweets

Before the power went out, quite a few celebrities managed to send out some tweets about impending Hurricane Sandy (#Sandy). Here are some from Bette Midler (who said she was “baking macaroons for the duration”), Ivanka Trump, Bethenny Frankel, Idina Menzel, Andy Cohen and Lena Dunham, among others.

Darren Aronofsky didn’t seem too worried about the humongous ark that’s been built for his new film, Noah, that is sitting out completely exposed to the elements in Oyster Bay, Long Island. Filming on the set has been suspended due to Hurricane Sandy. “I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production of Noah is not lost,” tweeted Emma Watson, who has a role in the film.

Maybe it was just an odd camera angle. It kind of looked like Mila Kunis’ midriff was suddenly quite a bit bigger than usual. So naturally, rumors started immediately circulating that the actress could be pregnant by boyfriend Ashton Kutcher. Kunis, through her publicist, quickly denied that she is in the family way.

On the other hand, pregnancy news has been confirmed for Ian Ziering (of Beverly Hills 90210 fame) and his wife, Erin. Ziering, 48, and his wife married in 2010, and they have an 18-month-old daughter. The new baby is due in May.

We recently wished Drake mazel tov on finally graduating from high school. Well, now we have a video of the rapper at his graduation ceremony from Jarvis Collegiate Institute in his hometown of Toronto. Did he sing for his fellow graduates? No. But he did send them off with some encouraging words about the power of education.

Bar Refaeli is GQ’s Gentlewoman of the Year. And who was the supermodel’s date at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Berlin last Friday? It wasn’t Shaun White, with whom she was recently linked romantically—although he was also at the event accepting an award himself. The lucky guy was one of her three brothers. “Couldn’t ask for a better date! The one and only, most wonderful brother in the world, love you!” Refaeli tweeted.

Alicia Silverstone isn’t playing Cher Horowitz again, but she has reunited with “Clueless” director Amy Heckerling for her new film, “Vamps.” Silverstone plays Goody, a 200-year-old vampire in the movie.

It was music to the audience’s ears as Lea Michele and her Glee co-star Darren Criss sang together at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters gala in Beverly Hills last Friday.

30 Rock’s Judah Friedlander showed some skin at the premiere of Sean Penn’s new movie, “This Must Be The Place,” last Thursday. Instead of merely removing his coat to pose for a photo with Blondie’s Debbie Harry, he figured he’d keep on removing layers… until he had stripped down to his bare chest and belly. Fortunately, he kept his pants on.
