Please Let The Rumor That Daniel Day-Lewis Quit Acting To Become A Dressmaker Be True
In one of the best rumors I’ve heard since the one about Donald Trump planning to run for president, Page Six reports that Daniel Day-Lewis may have quit acting in order to pursue a career as a dressmaker.
Lord, please let this be true. Just once, let me have what I want.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t take much for Page Six to decide something is a rumor worthy of attention from the masses, so this particular one probably is not true.
Day-Lewis plays a couturier in his final movie, unofficially titled “The Phantom Thread,” and a source told Page Six that Day-Lewis came to love the art of dressmaking so much that he has decided to occupy himself with the profession off-screen.
Will Day-Lewis make the leap from method acting to a partnership with H&M? Will I walk into Macy’s this time next year to find a rack of his original designs?
I can only hope and wish and pray that one day Daniel Day-Lewis will gift my body with an exquisitely detailed fit and flare corduroy pleat evening gown.
