Ailing Son of Slain Mumbai Emissaries Dies

Dov Holtzberg, the 4-year-old son of Chabad emissaries Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, overnight of a genetic disease. He was buried Tuesday next to his parents and older brother, who also died of the same disease two years ago.

Dov had been living in a long-term care facility in Jerusalem.

Thursday marks a month since the deaths of the Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, killed during terrorist attacks by Islamic gunmen on Mumbai, including the Chabad House. A ceremony to unveil their tombstones is scheduled for Thursday morning.

The Holzberg’s youngest son, Moshe, 2, did not suffer from the genetic illness, which some reports identified as Tay-Sachs Disease. Moshe was in his parents Mumbai apartment, when it was taken by gunmen; he was rescued from the home by his nanny, and is now living in Israel.
