Iranians ‘Like’ Israelis Right Back
Iranians have responded to a Facebook page posted by an Israeli couple that communicates the message that Israel loves Iran.
The Love and Peace Facebook page created on the evening of March 17 by Israeli graphic artists Ronny Edry and his wife, Michal Tamir, includes posters that read “Iranians, we will never bomb your country, we [heart] you.”
A caption on each poster reads, “To the Iranian people, To all the fathers, mothers, children, brothers and sisters, For there to be a war between us, first we must be afraid of each other, we must hate. I’m not afraid of you, I don’t hate you. I don t even know you. No Iranian ever did me no harm.”
Iranians began responding Sunday. One upload showed a photo of an Iranian woman wearing sunglasses with the words “My Israeli friends, I don’t hate you, I don’t want war.”
Another response from an Iranian read, “Hi. I read some posts on your page, your words are awesome but I think you know how is our life in Iran, you are free in your country but we are not here. We can’t say that we are friend with anyone from Israel because it’s dangerous. I think all around the world and war is between governments. I wish a world free from war and hope we be good friends.”
