Escalation Continues as Israeli Planes Strike Gaza
The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday evening struck two targets in the northern Gaza Strip, in response to earlier rocket fire.
The two targets were terrorist bases, according to an IDF statement.
Earlier on Wednesday, a rocket fired from Gaza directly hit a home in the Sdot Negev Regional Council, one of around 50 rockets and mortars fired into Israel since the morning. Several people suffered from shock.
The Iron Dome anti-rocket system intercepted a rocket fired at Netivot on Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, the IAF carried out a strike in Gaza which targeted a World Islamic Jihad operative who was involved in the terror attack on the Israel-Egypt border on Monday. The strike killed the operative and seriously wounded another operative.
