No Trial Move for Leiby Kletzky’s Accused Killer
The accused killer of little Leiby Kletzky will face trial in Brooklyn after an appeals court reportedly rejected his bid for a change of venue.
Levi Aron wanted his murder trial moved to Suffolk County on Long Island or the Bronx, citing a torrent of negative publicity, the New York Post reported.
The Appellate Division ruled that the trial could stay in Brooklyn, noting there are 500,000 eligible jurors in the borough.
Aron, 35, is accused of killing 8-year-old Kletzky in Boro Park after the boy got lost on his first trip home alone from day camp in July.
Police found the boy’s dismembered body parts in Aron’s freezer and a trash bin.
