Shocker! Paper Owned by Trump’s Son-in-Law Endorses the Donald

In possibly the least surprising endorsement of the election season, the New York Observer, which is owned by Donald Trump’s son-in-law, backed the mogul in the upcoming New York primary.
The paper insisted in the unsigned missive that it was not backing Trump because it is owned by Jared Kushner, who is married to the Donald’s daughter, Politico reported.
“Donald Trump is the father-in-law of the Observer’s publisher. That is not a reason to endorse him. Giving millions of disillusioned Americans a renewed sense of purpose and opportunity is,” the editorial reads.
Many papers would consider it a violation of journalistic ethics to endorse a close relative of the owner for public office.
But the Observer has already showed that it is a less-than-impartial actor when it comes to all things Trump.
Editor Ken Kurson, a former speechwriter for ex-Mayor Rudy Giuliani, recently admitted that he helped write Trump’s speech to the recent AIPAC convention, at the same time that was directing the paper’s coverage of the campaign.
Kurson refused to say if he also penned the editorial endorsing Trump.
