Benjamin Netanyahu Fires Off Trump-Style 3 a.m. Tweet

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to take a cue from late-night tweeter and President-elect Donald Trump when he fired off a tweet at 3:28 AM Israel time on Wednesday morning (8:28 PM in New York).
The US should veto the anti-Israel resolution at the UN Security Council on Thursday.
— Benjamin Netanyahu (@netanyahu) December 22, 2016
Netanyahu’s tweet is reminiscent of Trump’s online antics. Trump, who has said he sleeps about four hours a night, is a notorious late night tweeter. His odd-hour online missives became a 2016 campaign story after he sounded off against former Ms. Universe Alicia Machado in the predawn hours.
Netanyahu typically tweets at more reasonable hours. The Prime Minister, who joined Twitter in 2008, also has an active Facebook presence. Recently, he has posted videos there confronting Israeli journalists who have published investigative reports on him and his family.
“It’s fun, I enjoy it,” he told a group of foreign correspondents this week who asked about the activity.
Bibi probably could’ve stayed asleep. A vote on the UN measure was delayed after Egypt yanked the resolution.
