George Soros Is The Face Of Another Conspiracy Theory: The Migrant Protest
Billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros is the face of another conspiracy theory, alleging that he’s funding the caravan of migrants traveling from Mexico to the United States, the New York Times reported.
President Trump and Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida are among those spreading the false claims, according to the Times. There is no evidence that the megadonor paid the thousands of migrants, or that it’s even a Democratic effort.
Open Society Foundations, Soros’s philanthropic organization, denied any participation.
Soros, who is Jewish, has long been the subject of several right-wing conspiracy theories. He has given billions to liberal endeavors and pledged to fund a program that helps people find asylum from civil war, poverty or political oppression, according to The New York Daily News.
Can you believe this, and what Democrats are allowing to be done to our Country? pic.twitter.com/4aDpASkjIU
