I Want My JNF
When 205 college students signed on with Jewish National Fund to spend their spring break in Israel planting trees, they probably figured they’d be far from the beer-and-babes high jinks generally associated with spring break broadcasts on MTV. Little did they know that MTV would be catching up with them all the same.
On March 24, the group will be featured on an MTV special devoted to college students who spend their vacation time doing volunteer work. The program, called “The Amazing Break,” will spend part of its 30 minutes following the JNF volunteers as they prune trees, paint bomb shelters, build parks and meet with area residents scarred by last summer’s war in Lebanon.
Those looking to see Jewesses sporting bikinis are out of luck — that is, unless they can track down a copy of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue featuring Israeli model Bar Rafaeli.
