Read it Here!
Alert readers of this edition of the Forward may have noticed something new. A slightly different size to the page. Crisper printing. More use of color.
That’s because, with this edition, the Forward is producing its entire national press run of both the English and Yiddish papers on presses owned by the New York Daily News, in Jersey City, N.J. The move will improve the quality of reproduction, expand options for advertisers and accelerate delivery to subscribers.
“We want to ensure that our loyal audience, which directly supports our independent journalism by buying the English and Yiddish papers every week, has the best possible reading experience,” says my boss, publisher Samuel Norich.
At a time when we are expanding dramatically online by adding fresh new content to forward.com every weekday, the Forward is also committed to continually improving the print product that so many readers hold dear.

Why I became the Forward’s editor-in-chief
You are surely a friend of the Forward if you’re reading this. And so it’s with excitement and awe — of all that the Forward is, was, and will be — that I introduce myself to you as the Forward’s newest editor-in-chief.
And what a time to step into the leadership of this storied Jewish institution! For 129 years, the Forward has shaped and told the American Jewish story. I’m stepping in at an intense time for Jews the world over. We urgently need the Forward’s courageous, unflinching journalism — not only as a source of reliable information, but to provide inspiration, healing and hope.
