Cue the ‘Zohan’ Jokes, Melania Trump’s Hairstylist is Israeli!

Editor’s note: This post contains a gratuitous number of “Don’t Mess With the Zohan” GIFs. The author could not contain herself.

We don’t want to get you too excited, but we have a real life Zohan situation on our hands!

We just learned that Israeli hairstylist Mordechai Alvow counts Melania and Ivanka Trump as his most loyal celebrity clients, popping up in their social media streams and style interviews regularly.

That’s a lot to take in, so let’s break that down.

Alvow’s all-natural and organic hair care line Yarok, which means “green” in Hebrew, has attracted a celebrity clientele that includes the whole Trump brood — including Ivanka Trump — Naomi Watts and Vanessa Minnillo. He has also worked with a who’s who in runway fashion like Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui and Yohji Yamamoto.

Originally from Israel, Alvow now divides his time between New York City and his homeland and has come a long way from MOTY MOTY, his first salon inside the swanky Equinox gym on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He was inspired to create the botanical-based line to ease his own allergic reactions to the hair products he was working with. In the few years since its founding, Yarok products have garnered rave reviews and are now sold internationally. An all-organic color at Alvow’s intimate salon, Yarok Beauty Kitchen in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, will run you $300.

Alvow does more than color though, as he demonstrated in the Daily Mail when he was featured for his Duchess Kate haircuts, keeping up with hair trends as demand soars for all things Kate Middleton.

Melania Trump, the Slovenian model and possible future First Lady of the United States, has been a devoted long-time client of Alvows, hiring him to style her hair for her skin care ad campaign and many of her public appearances and photoshoots. And stepdaughter Ivanka Trump listed Yarok as one of her favorite hair products in a New York Times style interview.

Unfortunately Alvow only styles the hair of the Trump women, but his hands have certainly been within touching distance of the orange cotton candy forward comb of the presumptive Republican nominee to the White House. And that’s good enough for us.

But, you don’t mess with the Alvow!
