Charlie Rothkopf published a tweet Wednesday evening asking for prayers for his coach, who died Wednesday.
“Boca PD did nothing to protect me, really,” Pozner said. “They just targeted me.”
“That night she said she was a breast cancer survivor and he said, ‘If you survived that, you’re surviving this.”
Natalie Grumet, who was shot in the face in Las Vegas, is being flown back to California, where she lives with her husband.
When Grumet saw that her father was going to cry after seeing she was awake, she held his hand and gave a thumbs up.
“Where is she? My sister is supposed to go to my graduation. I didn’t tell her I loved her enough.” I held her as she sobbed.
“We’re a strong family, we’re a tight family,” Jason Grumet said. “And we look to our faith for help and for comfort.”
Congresswoman Jacky Rosen was about to go to bed Sunday night when her daughter called from college. “She was hysterical,” Rosen recalled.
Before saying the prayer for healing of the sick, Rabbi Malcolm Cohen asked his congregants at Temple Sinai in Las Vegas if anyone knows someone who was injured in Sunday night’s shooting. Five raised their hands and listed the names of their friends and relatives still hospitalized. Then, when it came time for the kaddish prayer commemorating those who had passed away, seven congregants stood up and named friends and acquaintances that had lost their lives in the attack.
