Undefeated Pro Boxer Dustin “The White Tiger” Fleischer is Headed to Israel with Birthright

My name is Dustin “The White Tiger” Fleischer, and I am currently undefeated at 6-0 with five knockout victories in the sport of professional boxing. My goal is to become the first World Champion who is a descendant of a Holocaust survivor in honor of my grandfather. My success in my career thus far relies heavily on passion and a strong belief in my heritage. For the next 10 days, I will be traveling to Israel for the first time on Birthright. This is an experience that I have been looking forward to for a very long time. Being that my Jewish lineage is essential to who I am, I expect that I will find even more inspiration and drive from this trip to take into my boxing career and life. Israel is the closest land to God, and every Jewish man and woman should visit. I am extremely excited and grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful program. I look forward to seeing my homeland and to have the chance to become closer to God. Share this journey with me on the Forward’s Scribe Community. I will be posting throughout my trip.

This is a moment of great uncertainty. Here’s what you can do about it.

We hope you appreciated this article. Before you go, we’d like to ask you to please support the Forward’s independent Jewish news this Passover. All donations are being matched by the Forward Board - up to $100,000.

This is a moment of great uncertainty for the news media, for the Jewish people, and for our sacred democracy. It is a time of confusion and declining trust in public institutions. An era in which we need humans to report facts, conduct investigations that hold power to account, tell stories that matter and share honest discourse on all that divides us.

With no paywall or subscriptions, the Forward is entirely supported by readers like you. Every dollar you give this Passover is invested in the future of the Forward — and telling the American Jewish story fully and fairly.

The Forward doesn’t rely on funding from institutions like governments or your local Jewish federation. There are thousands of readers like you who give us $18 or $36 or $100 each month or year.

Support our mission to tell the Jewish story fully and fairly.
