London School Vandalized Twice with Swastikas
(JTA) — A London school was daubed twice with swastikas in separate incidents within a week.
Police are investigating the vandalism discovered Monday at the Jubilee Primary School in the Hackney borough’s Stoke Newington neighborhood, the Jewish Chronicle reported. Hackney has a large Orthodox Jewish population and is near the heavily haredi Orthodox neighborhood of Stamford Hill.
Swastikas had been found at the school, as well as on a private home in Stoke Newington, on Dec. 18.
The swastikas were drawn on the entrance and the message board of the school, which is not Jewish.
Shomrim, a volunteer community security group, said it was increasing its patrols in the neighborhood from twice a day to five times.
