Jared Kushner Hunts For ‘Crisis Management’ Firm As Russia Probe Rumors Swirl
Is Jared Kushner headed for an even bigger legal crisis?
The presidential son-in-law’s lawyer confirmed that he is searching for a crisis public relations firm, the Washington Post reported.
Kushner lawyer Abbe Lowell confirmed he was looking for a firm that would handle media for Kushner, although he suggested the firm would work as well as some of his other high-profile clients like scandal=tarred Sen. Robert Menendez.
“My law firm and I are considering hiring an outside consultant to handle the time-consuming incoming inquiries on the cases in which I am working that receive media attention,” Lowell said in a statement to The Washington Post. “This inquiry from you about whether I am doing this is a good example of why we need one.”
Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III have been digging into Kushner’s relationship with former national security adviser Michael Flynn as part of his probe into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Kushner has been identified as the “very senior member” of the Trump transition team who directed Flynn in December to lobby the Russian ambassador to block a United Nations resolution on Israel that the U.S. abstained on.
Flynn pleaded guilty to a relatively minor charge and is cooperating with Mueller’s team, raising the possibility he might be dishing dirt on Kushner or President Trump himself.
