Matzo Ball Throwdown! Sinkers Vs. Floaters

Let’s talk matzo balls.
At my family’s Seders, my mother passed judgement on the always delicious dumplings by dubbing them either floaters or sinkers. Floaters were light and fluffy, while sinkers were heavy and dense. You would think by these descriptions that a designation of sinker would be a bad thing, but in fact, I always kind of liked it when my spoon met with some resistance toward the center of my matzo ball.

Wondering if there were others out there who enjoyed a less-than-light matzo ball, I created a little Twitter poll. The results are in, and it turns out that over 60% of those surveyed are floater people, with the other third in the sinker camp.
