The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, a hawkish Washington policy group, lambasted the Comedy Central television network for preventing Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the animated series “South Park,” from depicting the Prophet Muhammad.
“If you don’t believe terrorists have already changed our values — think again,” said the group’s executive director, Tom Neumann. “Comedy Central, the bastion of [the] ‘anything goes in a democratic society’ school, has fallen victim to the fear of terrorism. They tolerated ‘South Park’ ridiculing African Americans, homosexuals, Jews and Catholics under the guise of freedom of speech. Everything is fair game except Muhammad.”
