An upscale candy shop has put an unusual spin on a standard Passover confection. Vosges Haut-Chocolat has taken chocolate-covered matzo to the next level with its Charoset Matzo — bits of matzo topped with dried apples, nuts, honey and spices, covered in dark chocolate. This is not the first time that Vosges has cooked up something curious: Other products include chocolate pigs filled with smoked bacon, and dark chocolate Easter bunnies made with Mexican chilies and Ceylon cinnamon.
