Who Is Coming To Israel With Glenn Beck?

Glenn Beck fever is sweeping the Holy Land. The controversial American broadcaster has got Israel talking about the rally he is planning for Jerusalem in August.
Last year, he organized a huge event in Washington called Restore Honor, bringing together thousands of conservatives. He’s now planning Restore Courage — a similar concept with a pro-Israel focus. It is intended to “unite the people of the world in standing with Israel and remind us of the need to have faith, honor and courage in our own lives,” according to his website.
The Israeli media have just reported that the event will feature various high-profile American politicians, including Sarah Palin, Joe Lieberman, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Michelle Bachman.
But Beck’s website says that media outlets are pulling names out of thin air. It claims that “many of the names who have been reported — Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachmann — have not committed to attend nor have they been contacted.” The website then adds a swipe at Mike Huckabee, saying: “Glenn and he don’t exactly see eye to eye on most things. Remember Huck’s weird rant about booger bears? That was weird.”
Well, never mind who’s planning on attending. Ynet says that there will be “free snacks and drinks.”

Now more than ever, American Jews need independent news they can trust, with reporting driven by truth, not ideology. We serve you, not any ideological agenda.
At a time when other newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall and invested additional resources to report on the ground from Israel and around the U.S. on the impact of the war, rising antisemitism and polarized discourse.
