An Israeli professor has agreed to pay more than $850,000 to settle U.S. claims he engaged in insider trading
Israel allowed Intel Corp to pay the tax due on its planned purchase of Israeli autonomous vehicle technology firm Mobileye in dollars.
Chipmaker Intel agreed to buy Israeli driverless car-technology firm Mobileye for $15.3 billion on Monday, positioning itself for a dominant role in the fast-moving autonomous-driving sector.
“Congratulations to Mobileye! Israeli genius, Israeli pride,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote on Twitter after the deal’s announcement.
Andy Grove, the Silicon Valley elder statesman who made Intel into the world’s top chipmaker and helped usher in the personal computer age, died on Tuesday at age 79, Intel said.
