Manhattan Synagogue and School Emptied by Bomb Threat

A Manhattan synagogue was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat.
The Jewish Center, a Modern Orthodox synagogue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side was evacuated by New York City police Monday morning, who thoroughly searched the building, synagogue Executive Director Aaron Strum said in a statement.
Police are investigating the incident, according to Sturm.
A Jewish day school located around the corner from the synagogue was placed by police on lockdown during the incident, the New York Jewish Week reported.
