Linda Sarsour Makes Glamour’s Women Of The Year List

Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian-American activist who has become a leading force in the resistance movement following the presidential election of Donald Trump, is now being honored by Glamour magazine, alongside a Conservative rabbi and other organizers of the massive Women’s March on Washington.

Sarsour, who supports boycott and divestment of Israel, has partnered with some Jewish activists while being shunned by others, due to her positions regarding Israel.

Crediting organizers of the Women’s March with “sparking a movement,” Glamour chose to honor the women who put together the protest and who made sure their expression of anger does not fade out after one event. They are sharing the list with such icons as Nicole Kidman, Samantha Bee, Solange Knowles and Rep. Maxine Waters.

Also among the Women’s March organizers named by Glamour is Rabbi Barat Ellman, an adjunct professor of Bible at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Fordham College.
