Mini Matzo For Your Mini Me

Passover is tough on kids. Go-to dinner staples like pizza and mac and cheese are off-limits for an entire week — practically a lifetime for youngsters.
Manischewitz, the company behind the much-maligned concord-grape-based wine, has come to the rescue with the debut of three new Passover products geared towards kids: a s’more matzo kit, a matzo pizza kit and “My Mini Matzos,” eight 3-inch by 3-inch matzos for pint-sized foodies.

The s’mores matzo kit comes with enough ingredients for your kids to create the perfect Passover s’more with friends: four servings of mini matzos, chocolate and marshmallows. The matzo pizza kit itself is shaped like a slice of pizza, and contains 8 triangular pizza-slice-shaped matzos inside (to make a full pie) and 8 packets of pizza sauce. Although it doesn’t come with cheese and other toppings, kids are encouraged to find and put on their favorites. To underline its kid-friendliness, the package of “My Mini Matzos” doubles as a coloring book.

This week we celebrate 129 years of the Forward. We’re proud of our origins as a Yiddish print publication serving Jewish immigrants. And we’re just as proud of what we’ve become today: A trusted source of Jewish news and opinion, available digitally to anyone in the world without paywalls or subscriptions.
We’ve helped five generations of American Jews make sense of the news and the world around them — and we aren’t slowing down any time soon.
As a nonprofit newsroom, reader donations make it possible for us to do this work. Support independent, agenda-free Jewish journalism and our board will match your gift in honor of our birthday!
