Israelis’ ‘Healthy’ Holiday

It appears that Israelis are worried about their waistlines this year.

The Manufacturers’ Association of Israel estimates that 17.5 million sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts) will be sold in the Holy Land during Hanukkah, a 4% decrease from 2006, according to Ynetnews.com.
Nontheless, the MAI estimates that the average Israeli will eat about three of the fried sugary treats this holiday season.
