What’s the likelihood of “cool” Jews being cool for a whole year? You might think about the same as the likelihood of a bunch of New Yorkers swinging around fake medieval Japanese swords for fun and fitness.

Both, strangely, continue to be proved possible and on Sunday are being employed to encourage people to go along to the Manhattan JCC Open House. Adam McKinney dancing is somehow intended to convince us to sign up for excellence in cultural programs, tremendous physical fitness programs and a steady stream of hairy-chested men wandering around the men’s changing rooms.

Some of us didn’t think that Lisa Klug’s travelling all stars (The Cool Jews Every Member of the Tribe Artist Showcase) would make it this far, but since they have, this is your chance to see what all the fuss is about. So go along and check out Elie Massias playing the guitar or any of the other multiculti newie Jewie cool stuff on that bill. As the doctor said of chicken soup to his terminally I’ll patient “it cuddin hoit!”

Adam McKinney dancing, not at the JCC Manhattan.
