How It Happened: The Forward?s Larry Cohler-Esses interviews Mousa Abu Marzook of Hamas. Image by ahmed esmaill
Mousa Abu Marzook’s first-ever interview with a Jewish publication was arranged, at the Forward’s request, by his attorney, Stanley L. Cohen, who was present for the entire exchange. Abu Marzook imposed no ground rules or limitations on what could be asked. Everything was on-the-record. The interview took place at Abu Marzook’s home in New Cairo, a neighborhood outside Egypt’s capital city.
