Salary Survey 2017: Shoham Nicolet Of The Israeli-American Council
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Category: Advocacy or Public Service
Born out of a need to organize and engage the Israeli-American community, the Israeli Leadership Council (ILC) was founded in 2007. The founding group formulated the ILC’s 3 key pillars: to strengthen future generations of Israeli-Americans, The American Jewish community, and The State of Israel. Between its launch in 2007 and 2013, the organization’s rapid growth established the ILC as the largest Israeli-American organization in the US, engaging 50,000 community members through its various activities. In 2013, the organization changed its name to the Israeli-American Council (IAC) to more accurately reflect its mission. The IAC was unable to disclose its 2016 information before the time of publishing.
Shoham Nicolet is the president of the Israeli American Council. A longtime entrepreneur, he joined the founding team of Hi-Teach, an Israeli online learning venture, following his service as an officer in an infantry IDF unit. He served as the American Jewish University’s online learning coordinator, and later became the director of residence life and conference services. During that time he founded Israel Action and the communal Yom Hazikaron, and co-founded the From LA with Love project.
