Anti-Semitic Graffiti Hits N.J. Town
Police are investigating a graffiti attack in a predominately Jewish neighborhood in New Jersey as a hate crime.
A dozen swastikas were painted on mailboxes, street signs, roads and personal property in Manalapan, N.J., the N.J. Jewish News reported. The phrase “Kill the Jews” was also found amid the graffitti discovered Thursday morning.
“The people who spoke to me said the homes that were targeted were Jewish homes,” Ariella Raviv, the Jewish Federation of Monmouth County’s director of community impact, told the newspaper. “There were mezuzahs on the door of the homes that had been painted and the swastikas were also on street signs, which are public property.”
