Two Heads Better Than One?
In America, all politics is local — but in Israel, Election Day is almost always about the peace process. The result is a political system that tends to neglect many domestic issues and marginalizes many leaders who might have a clue about how to address issues such as transportation, poverty, education, etc. But now economist Avishay Braverman and former Shin Bet chief Ami Ayalon are talking about presenting themselves as a two-headed ticket for Labor Party leadership that would divide up domestic and foreign policies.
