Rick Sanchez To Launch Talk Show

Former news anchor Rick Sanchez, who was fired by CNN last fall after implying that Jews control the media, has completed the next step of his professional comeback.
The ex-cable host is developing a syndicated talk show that will shoot in Florida, TVNewser reports. The program will be shot in both English and Spanish, and Sanchez, who will own a stake in the show, is currently looking for a female co-host — possibly an actress. More details should be known later today, when the TV site will release an interview with the former news anchor.
The announcement suggests Sanchez believes enough time has passed since his abrupt firing last October, following a radio interview in which he mocked the idea that Jews face discrimination. Speaking about Jewish “Daily Show” comedian Jon Stewart, who had regularly made fun of his work on CNN, Sanchez remarked that “everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart.”
In the months since the incident, Sanchez has mostly stayed out of public view, though he has courted Anti-Defamation League chief Abe Foxman. After meeting with Foxman in March, Sanchez issued a letter touting his newfound sensitivity toward Jews. The pair reunited in May at a Yankees game (of all places), in a rendezvous apparently orchestrated by Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez (of all people).
Sanchez is working on his new show with Emilio Estefan, the husband of singer Gloria Estefan. No details have been released about which networks the pair will approach about syndication.
