As fans collectively mourn the death of film icon Carrie Fisher today, we’re bringing back a special piece of “Star Wars” memorabilia.
In this three-minute clip, 19-year-old Fisher auditions for the role of Princess Leia alongside Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. The two discuss the Rebellion’s plan to take down the Death Star, and then the actress slates for the camera.
Ford, who reunited with Fisher in last year’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” released a statement today saying how much he will miss his former co-star.
“Carrie was one-of-a-kind…brilliant, original,” Ford said. “Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely.”
