Israel Strikes Gaza Tunnels
Israeli air strikes hit three Gaza smuggling tunnels in response to rockets fired from the strip at Israel.
The Air Force struck the tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip early Monday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces’ spokesman’s office.
On Saturday, during the second night of Rosh Hashanah, two Kassam rockets launched from Gaza toward Israel caused air-raid sirens to sound in Sderot. The attack reportedly caused no damage or injuries.
About 715 Kassam rockets, mortar shells and Grad missiles have been fired at Israel since the beginning of 2009, according to the IDF.
