Hungary Soccer Fans Probed for Nazi Salutes at Euro Tournament

Hungarian soccer fans are reportedly being investigated for performing Nazi salutes during a match at the Euro 2016 soccer tournament in France.

“The pictures are clearly very shocking,” a police source told the paper. “Ultra nationalists from Hungary were all wearing black shirts, and appeared to be performing Nazi salutes.”
Authorities say the demonstrations could lead to prosecutions under French anti-racism and anti-Semitism laws.
Hungary has an active far right wing political culture. The far right Jobbik Party is the third biggest in the country.
