3 Hilarious Passover Videos You Need To Watch Before Your Seder

If you thought Purim was the only holiday for Jewish parodies of pop culture, you must not have seen the newest batch of a cappella Passover parodies. Here are our three top picks this year:
Maccabeats The Maccabeats have a new take on the four questions with their a cappella plus version of the “Ma Nishtana.” In addition to their voices, the group used sound effects from wine glasses, turning haggadah pages, and of course, breaking matzah.
Y Studs The Y Studs released a hilarious version of the opening song from “La La Land” set in a kosher supermarket the day before the seder. The video, which parodies the arduous seder preparations, was a collaboration between the group and Robert Dietz, of NBC’s “The Sing Off.”
Six13 Six13’s “Seder Crew” is an entertaining take on Ed Sheeran’s original song “Shape of You.” With lyrics like “Girl, you know I want matzo,” we can’t get enough of this song.

Did you know that only 2% of Forward readers donate to support our nonprofit newsroom? That 2% make it possible for millions to read the Forward without a paywall or subscription — removing any barriers to the full and fair Jewish story.
But while the Forward is free to read, it isn’t free to produce. Big stories — like deep dives into the antisemitism data, political scoops or reporting trips to college campuses — take months of research and fact-checking. All while we keep you informed of what you need to know each day.
