Theatergoers looking for magic on Broadway will be pleased with Danny Elfman’s latest project: a musical about the life of Harry Houdini, the legendary Jewish magician and escapist. Elfman, a three-time Academy Award nominee, has composed scores for such films as “Good Will Hunting” and “Men in Black.” The new production will feature lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by journalist Kurt Andersen. It is scheduled to hit the Great White Way in 2010.
