Hey Peretz, Who You Calling Non-Zionist?

If the American Jewish Committee managed to get The New York Times to retract its use of the word “conservative” to describe the organization, perhaps we at the Forward could at least get an explanation from New Republic head honcho Marty Peretz for his recent assertion that we are “non-Zionist.” Is it because we’ve editorialized against the right-wing vision of Greater Israel and war in Iraq and Iran? Or that we don’t share Peretz’s obsession with demonizing George Soros?
