Envoy’s Daughter Resigns From CNN
CNN announced in Atlanta this week that reporter Rym Brahimi, the daughter of U.N. envoy Lakhdar Brahimi, had resigned from the network last Friday. Her resignation followed the announcement that she was engaged to a Jordanian prince, the Associated Press reported.
Brahimi is engaged to Prince Ali, a half-brother of King Abdullah II. The Jordanian royal family announced that the wedding will take place September 7, AP said.
Ali, who is 29, heads the king’s special protection force. He is the son of the late King Hussein’s third wife, Alia. Abdullah is a son of the second wife, Muna.
