Gap’s Fall Ad Campaign Stars Jewish and Muslim Women

Through Gap’s “Meet Me in the Gap” fall campaign, the 19-year-old Mikaela Strauss, AKA pop artist King Princess is pushing for diversity, and unity across differences. The campaign features a fierce-looking Mikaela sitting alongside 24-year-old hijab-wearing journalist, Noor Tagouri, who tweeted about her involvement with the diversified Gap ad.

“It really reflects the idea that although we may be from different parts of the world, when we come together, we can create something magical,” says Grammy-nominated recording artist and last year’s campaign’s frontrunner, Janelle Monáe.
Launched earlier last month, the holiday campaign features a mix of families, models and influencers like hip-hop artists Cher and Future, promoting diversity just in time for Thanksgiving — and the midterm elections.
